Bringing together a fantastic three course meal and a thought provoking talk from April Burt.
Saturday 26th September - 6pm, with starters served at 6.30pm
Our individual wellbeing is of course fundamentally linked to (or cannot be considered in isolation from) the wellbeing of our planet. As such we are delighted to welcome April Burt, who will be joining us for dinner on Saturday evening to share her experiences working as a conservation scientist and talking about the science behind everyday things that can greatly affect our wellbeing. She recently lead a clean-up expedition to the remote island of Aldabra, described by Sir David Attenborough as 'one of the world's greatest surviving natural treasures'. Her amazing project which was featured on Sky News, succeeded in removing 25 tons of accumulated plastic pollution from the area.
She champions women in science and exploration through her role with Wings World Quest and is currently completing her PhD at Oxford University.
Dinner and April's talk are included in the price of the weekend although extra tickets for those not booked on our 'ACE at Augill' weekend can be purchased at £49 per head.
